Send it to David Svendsen, PO Box 33384, Phoenix AZ 85067. Anything submitted becomes property of The Zombie Review. And don’t forget to put us on your screener list for future releases!
Hell yea! We like reading other reviews as well as anyone. If you can write a logically thought out review, with punctuation, and would like to submit – go for it! We’d love to hear from you. The only thing that will get your review eaten by our office zombie pets faster than a flesh pizza is if you don’t get your point across or we have to spend too much editing it. Back up your opinion! If something sucks, explain why. If something blew your mind, explain why.
If you think you got something good to share, send it to nflames@thezombiereview.com

Anyone can be a film critic, anyone can say a movie sucks, or that it was great. My philosophy is that I like to write my reviews as though I'm sitting down with you discussing a movie over a beer. I don't care about aspect ratios being off, I don't really give a shit about washed out colors, and I'll never recommend a DVD based on how good the Special Features are. Everyone knows what opinions are like, and that's all my reviews are, my opinion, feel free to disagree with me in the comments section below the review. Let's just keep it civil huh?
I've also gotten away from giving numeric ratings to movies. I think that my reviews speak for themselves and I'll say whether I thought it was good or not, there won't be any mystery. My thought is that a movie can be good (enjoyable) but overall many people get it stuck in their mind that "anything below and 8 out of 10 isn't worth watching" and assigning numeric ratings to me is just too subjective. We DO have the ability to vote on movies at the bottom of our reviews, so feel free to assign a vote of what you thought of any particular reviewed movie. Also feel free to discuss by posting a comment.

The short answer would be "HELL NO." We have no control over the amounts of movies that distributors, film makers and studios send us. If Studio/Director/Actor "A" sends us 20 movies a month, and Studio/Director/Actor "B" sends us 2 movies a month .....get our point?? The only thing that's certain is that if a movie is sent to us, we're going to review it, and that review is always going to be impartial no matter who the lead actor is, who the director is, or who's producing or distributing. Stick around long enough I'm sure you'll see.
What sets TZR apart from the rest? Simply the love of all things horror. Sound like a cliché? It’s the truth. We are not a company or corporation that needs to stay in business. We don’t have hidden agendas. We’re not influenced by outside sources. We just like what we do. And we’re good at it.
Co-creator Jeff “NFlames” Breckon has been a rabid horror fan since birth, and an established horror reviewer for over seven years. You may remember him (as NFlames) from horrorwatch.com He has written hundreds of reviews and interviews with the industry’s best. He knows what is coming out before you do, and then makes sure you know about it. Countless studios have used Jeff’s comments on their packaging and promotion. He is a leader in horror media coverage.
Co-creator David “CrpnDeth” Svendsen is new to the horror genre coverage, but as a professional writer and photographer of 15 years for many heavy metal/hard rock publications, which encompasses hundreds of concert, CD and DVD reviews, he brings with him a sense of style that will articulate his dark side. As far back as the late 70s/early 80s David has finely tuned his demented mind by engorging himself on the old school horror films as well as novels from Stephen King and Dean Koontz. One of his favorite bands, Megadeth, said it best – Bloodbath is my way of getting clean. Megadeth, incidentally, also used David’s photos in their 2006 tour brochure, so you know the galleries will be filling up for your enjoyment.
Together Jeff and David, supported by a staff that has been cultivated through the years, will bring you simply the best reviews and highlights the industry has to offer.
Hold on …it’s going to be a wild ride. You just might survive.
